So I have this girl that lives in the same flat complex as me, 2 floors down.

1 week ago I was going on a ride and was exiting my bike from the building when she was entering. She gave me like a really warm « Hi! Let me get the door for you. », which I did not expect in that super warm tone, so I was taken aback by her voice and just muttered a very serious « Hi » followed by me leaving…

Yesterday we met in the complex parking lot, actually arrived at the same time, parked next to each other. She exited her car, said Hi! and she started a conversation with me about how crappy the parking lot is and how rude some people are.

We spoke for nearly 30 minutes and it was entertaining, kept finding different subjects, mostly related to issues the complex has (newly built, finished in 2018).

We parted, I asked for her name and gave her mine. She had an awkward moment when I introduced myself, kinda wanting to shake hands for a split second, then she turned around semi embarrased. Told her to wait, got close to her and we shook hands – I thought this would take a bit of her embarassement away…

Later that night, I open FB and type her name (don’t know her family name) and first F’ing result is her profile… I mean, I don’t even feel like a creep at this point, FB is just handling that creep part for me rather well.

Should I add her as friend, or message her, or friend then message.

Alternatively, I could wait to meet her in person in the building, but honestly, before the bike meeting, I last ran into her in April, so like 5 months ago…..

She is cute and thought we’d have a coffee and talk some more, that’s what I want to ask her.

TL;DR: Girl neighbor 2 floors down – met 2 times. Last evening chatted 30 minutes in parking lot, she initiated convo. FB finds her 1st try by first name only. What do?

  1. You met someone in real life that literally lives less than one block away from you and…you want to interact with her online, instead?

A girl that sounds direct and warm and open and starts the conversation.

    OK.

  2. No, that is creepy and weird. If you talked to her in real life already, you can just… talk to her again in real life and ask her out or something.

Don’t be a social media stalker.
