Dating : Dating while separated and awaiting divorce

Dating : Dating while separated and awaiting divorce

My last relationship was my first proper relationship since my separation from my wife.
It was a lot of fun and I believe we were really happy. We connected in a real way. We were happy. The only thing we argued about was my pending divorce.
I’m not perfect. I had baggage. We both did. But I really saw a future with this girl. Kids, a place together, and a future. I would never have cheated. I really tried to treat her as she deserved.
My question is, when is it ok to date after marriage?

  1. I think it depends on who you are dating and how okay they are with it. In you and your ex wife’s mind you were divorced. Just simple paperwork to complete. In your new gf’s mind she obviously wants/wanted that piece of paper signed.

  2. My divorce took 15 months. I started dating someone 6 months after the start of divorce. About 7 weeks ago new (now ex) bf was the same as the ex husband. There is no time limit just keep stuff off social media until finalized.

  3. Date when you’re ready. I started dating after being separated for a while (right after we decided to proceed with the divorce), continued dating while the divorce was processing, and am still dating now that the divorce is finalized.
