Dating : How do you show that your interested without it getting weird?
I have a female friend that is a few years older then me … that I’d like to ask out for coffee or the movies … but I’m not sure what she will say … we have been friends for so many years through my kids sports … I dont want to make it weird at the games if she’s not interested…
Most people rejcting someone else don’t really have a problem interacting with that person. Unless he is clingy, needy, acts and talks in any uncomfortable/annoying way.
So whether it gets « weird » would depend on whether you let it become weird by being overwhelmed by your emotions.
In the end you must make a decision as to whether you prefer the comfort (is it really comfortable?) of your current situation or a chance at her. The negative response may come up and it may make you feel bad (but probably not worse than not knowing for certain?). You can choose to act anyways and hope for the best.
